Connecting WhatsApp manually now comes with a guided setup flow in Chatwoot. It walks you through preparing your Meta app, entering your credentials, reviewing your phone number, and checking the connection.

Follow the setup step by step

The new flow brings instructions into the inbox setup itself. Each step explains what to prepare in Meta and where to find the WhatsApp Business Account ID, Phone Number ID, and permanent access token needed to connect your number.

Review your number before creating the inbox

Once you enter your details, Chatwoot validates them and displays the business name and phone number returned by Meta. You can confirm that you are connecting the right number and choose an inbox name before creating it.

If the details are incorrect or the token is missing required access, the setup shows what needs attention.

See what is connected and what is pending

After creating the inbox, a connection checklist shows the status of number access, template access, the webhook callback, and the webhook subscription.

You can see which checks are complete, copy the webhook URL, and retry webhook setup from the same screen before continuing to add agents.
