Run a macro on many conversations at once
Macros save you from repeating the same steps in a conversation, but until now you still had to open each conversation to run one. You can now run a macro on several conversations at once, straight from the conversation list. It helps when a batch of similar questions comes in together.

Apply a macro from the bulk actions bar
Hover over a conversation's avatar and tick the checkbox to select it, then pick the others. The bulk actions bar at the bottom of the list shows how many you've selected. Click the macro icon (Execute macro) and choose a macro. If you have many, search for it by name.

Before anything runs, Chatwoot asks you to confirm, showing the macro's name and how many conversations it will run on.

Once you confirm, the macro is queued for every selected conversation, and each of its actions runs on each one: labels, team assignment, private notes, priority, status and so on.

Required attributes still apply
If a macro resolves conversations and your account requires certain attributes before a conversation can be resolved, any conversation missing them stays open. Chatwoot tells you when this may happen, so nothing is closed without the details your team needs.
Other improvements
- Labels added by an automation no longer disappear when the conversation is saved shortly afterwards for an unrelated reason, such as recording the first reply.
To try it, select two or more conversations in any conversation list and click the macro icon in the bulk actions bar.
