We’ve made a few practical updates this week that address everyday friction points, especially around WhatsApp template handling. These improvements should make things a bit smoother for support teams working at scale.
🔄 Manual WhatsApp Template Sync
Previously, WhatsApp templates were only synced automatically every 3 hours. That meant if you created or updated a template in Meta’s dashboard, there was often a delay before it showed up in Chatwoot.

We’ve now added a manual sync option in two places:
- Inside Inbox Settings for WhatsApp
- Directly in the Template Picker modal when sending a template
It avoids waiting for the next sync window and gives more control to campaign managers.
🛠 Other Updates
- Improved email appearance: Outgoing email colors now render correctly across themes.
- Cleanup on delete: When you delete a WhatsApp inbox, any associated subscriptions are now removed automatically.
- Admin inbox search: Admins can now search across all inboxes without needing to specify one.
- Search optimization: If a user has access to all inboxes, we no longer apply inbox-specific filters during search.
- Avatar handling: Invalid avatar URLs won’t trigger background jobs anymore—helps reduce noise in the logs.
- Message deduplication fix: We’ve added a short delay to how we handle Instagram and Messenger echo events to prevent duplicate messages from appearing in threads.
Thanks for your continued feedback. As always, we’re focused on making small, thoughtful improvements that keep your workflows moving.
